Your privacy on Hitorino is yours to control. Whether you want to watch content anonymously, keep your subscription list hidden from friends, or understand exactly what data Hitorino holds about you, this page explains every setting and right available to you. Take a few minutes to review these options — even small adjustments can significantly change how visible you are to others on the platform.

Watch History Visibility

By default, your watch history is private — only you can see the videos you’ve watched. You can change this so that friends or the public can see your viewing activity, or you can clear your history at any time.
1

Open Privacy Settings

Click your avatar in the top-right corner, select Settings, and choose Privacy from the left-hand menu.
2

Set watch history visibility

Under Watch History, choose one of the following:
  • Private (default) — Only you can see your watch history.
  • Followers only — Users who follow you can see the last 50 videos you watched.
  • Public — Anyone visiting your profile can see your recent watch activity.
3

Pause or clear your watch history

Toggle Pause Watch History to stop recording new views. To permanently delete your existing history, click Clear All Watch History and confirm. This action cannot be undone.

Subscription List Visibility

Your list of subscribed creators is private by default. If you make it visible, it appears on your public profile page as a list of channels. Go to Settings → Privacy → Subscription List and choose:
  • Private (default) — No one can see who you subscribe to.
  • Public — Your subscription list appears on your public profile page.
Even if your subscription list is public, individual subscription tiers and amounts you pay are never displayed. Only the creator’s name and channel link are shown.

Blocking Users

Blocking a user prevents them from seeing your comments, sending you mentions, or interacting with your content in any way. If you are a creator, blocking someone also removes their ability to watch your subscriber-only content — though they keep access until their current billing period ends.
1

Navigate to the user's profile

Click their display name or avatar anywhere on the platform to open their profile.
2

Open the options menu

Click the (more options) button on their profile page.
3

Select Block

Click Block @username and confirm. The block takes effect immediately.
Blocking a creator you subscribe to does not cancel your subscription or trigger a refund. You will continue to be billed. To avoid future charges, cancel the subscription separately before or after blocking. See Managing Subscriptions for instructions.
To review or remove blocks, go to Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users. Your blocked list shows every account you have blocked, with the option to unblock any of them.

Reporting Harmful Content

Blocking removes a user from your experience, but it does not report them to Hitorino’s Trust & Safety team. If a user is harassing you, posting harmful content, or violating the community guidelines, use the Report option — available on any profile, video, comment, or live chat message — in addition to blocking them.

Comment and Chat Privacy

Comment Visibility

Your comments on videos are public by default and visible to all viewers. You cannot restrict comment visibility to a subset of users — if you post a comment, anyone can see it.

Live Chat

Messages you send in live stream chat are public for the duration of the stream. After the stream ends, chat replays may be available if the creator enables them.

Mentions

Any user can mention your @username in a comment or chat message. If you receive unwanted mentions from a specific user, block them to stop future mentions.

Direct Messages

Hitorino does not currently offer direct messaging between users. All communication happens in public comment threads and live chat.

Downloading Your Data

You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data Hitorino holds about you. Your data export includes account information, watch history, comment history, subscription records, billing history, and notification preferences.
1

Request a data export

Go to Settings → Privacy → Download Your Data and click Request Export.
2

Wait for the export to be prepared

Hitorino prepares your export within 48 hours. You receive an email when it is ready.
3

Download the file

Click the download link in the email or return to Settings → Privacy → Download Your Data and click Download. The file is a ZIP archive containing JSON files for each data category. The download link is valid for 7 days.
You can request one data export every 30 days. If you submitted a request recently, the page shows when you can make your next request.

GDPR and Privacy Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have specific rights regarding your personal data.
You have the right to know what personal data Hitorino holds about you and how it is used. Use the Download Your Data feature described above to exercise this right, or contact privacy@hitorino.tv with a written request.
You have the right to correct inaccurate personal data. You can update most of your personal data directly in Settings → Profile. For data you cannot edit yourself — such as billing records — contact privacy@hitorino.tv and describe the inaccuracy.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. The fastest way to exercise this right is to delete your account (see below), which triggers a full data deletion process. You can also submit a targeted erasure request for specific data categories by emailing privacy@hitorino.tv.
You can request that Hitorino limit how it uses your data while a dispute about its accuracy or lawfulness is resolved. Submit restriction requests to privacy@hitorino.tv.
You have the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. The JSON export produced by Download Your Data fulfills this requirement.
You have the right to object to processing of your data for direct marketing purposes. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time from Settings → Notifications → Email Preferences or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Hitorino aims to respond to all privacy rights requests within 30 days. For complex requests an extension of up to 60 days may apply, and we will notify you if this is the case.

Deleting Your Account

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be reversed. Before you proceed, consider downloading your data (see above) and canceling any active subscriptions to avoid future charges.
Account deletion is irreversible. Your profile, comments, uploaded videos (if you are a creator), and all associated data are permanently removed. Your @username is released and may be claimed by another user in the future.
1

Cancel active subscriptions

Go to Settings → Subscriptions and cancel each active subscription. This prevents additional charges after your account is deleted.
2

Download your data (optional)

If you want a record of your activity, request a data export before proceeding. Exports cannot be generated for deleted accounts.
3

Initiate account deletion

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Enter your current password to confirm your identity.
4

Confirm deletion

Read the confirmation dialog carefully, then click Permanently Delete My Account. Your account enters a 14-day grace period during which you can log back in to cancel the deletion. After 14 days, deletion is finalized and the process cannot be stopped.
If you are a creator with active subscribers, consider posting a final video or update to let your audience know you are leaving before you delete your account.

Cookies and Tracking

Hitorino uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how content is performing. You can review and adjust your cookie preferences at any time by going to Settings → Privacy → Cookie Preferences. Selecting Essential Only disables analytics and preference cookies while keeping the platform functional. For full details on what data Hitorino collects and why, read the Privacy Policy.
