Uploading pre-recorded videos lets you build out your channel library without going live — perfect for edited highlights, tutorials, short films, or any content you want to polish before your audience sees it. Hitorino processes uploaded videos through the same adaptive bitrate pipeline used for live streams, so playback quality stays consistent for viewers on any connection speed.

Supported Formats and Limits

Hitorino accepts the most common video container formats. Make sure your file meets the requirements below before you start the upload.

  • WebM (VP8 / VP9)
  • FLV
Recommended: MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio for fastest processing and broadest compatibility.

File & Quality Limits

  • Max file size: 50 GB per video
  • Max resolution: 4K (3840×2160)
  • Max frame rate: 60 fps
  • Max video length: 12 hours
  • Min resolution: 360p (640×360)
  • Audio: Stereo AAC or MP3, 128 Kbps minimum
Videos encoded with variable frame rate (VFR) — common when recording with screen capture tools like Xbox Game Bar — can cause audio sync issues after processing. Re-encode your file to constant frame rate (CFR) using HandBrake or FFmpeg before uploading:

Starting an Upload

Open the Upload Page

Go to your Creator Dashboard and click Upload Video in the sidebar, or navigate directly to hitorino.tv/upload.

Select Your File

Drag your video file into the upload zone, or click Choose File to browse your local storage. You can only upload one file at a time.The upload begins immediately after you select the file. You can fill in your video details while it uploads in the background — you don’t need to wait for the upload to finish before entering metadata.

Monitor Upload Progress

A progress bar shows upload percentage and estimated time remaining. Upload speed depends on your internet connection. For a 10 GB file on a 100 Mbps upload connection, expect roughly 14–15 minutes.
Keep the Hitorino upload tab open and active during the upload. Minimizing or navigating away is fine, but closing the tab or losing your internet connection will interrupt the upload and you’ll need to start over.

Adding Video Details

Fill in your video metadata on the right side of the upload page. These fields determine how your video is discovered and displayed across Hitorino.

Title and Description

Write a Title

Enter a title in the Title field (required, max 200 characters). Be specific — titles like “Finishing Hollow Knight — All Bosses Blind Playthrough Part 4” outperform vague ones like “Gaming video #12” in search results and category listings.

Write a Description

The Description field supports plain text and line breaks (max 5,000 characters). Use it to:
  • Summarize what the video covers
  • Add timestamps for long-form content (e.g., 0:00 Intro, 4:32 First Boss)
  • Link to your socials or mention collaborators
  • Include relevant keywords naturally
Descriptions are indexed for search on Hitorino. Timestamps formatted as H:MM:SS or M:SS are automatically converted into clickable chapter markers in the video player.

Thumbnail

Upload a custom thumbnail to make your video stand out in browse feeds and search results.
  • Dimensions: 1280×720 px (16:9 aspect ratio)
  • Formats: JPG or PNG
  • Max size: 10 MB
  • Color space: sRGB
If you don’t upload a thumbnail, Hitorino auto-generates one by capturing a frame at the 10% mark of your video after processing completes.

Category and Tags

Select a Category

Choose the primary category from the dropdown. Categories help Hitorino surface your video in the right browse sections and recommendation feeds. Pick the one that most accurately describes your content — miscategorized videos reach fewer relevant viewers.

Add Tags

Enter up to 15 tags, separated by commas. Tags are not case-sensitive and spaces within a tag are allowed (e.g., hollow knight, blind playthrough, indie game). Good tags are specific rather than generic — soulslike combat is more effective than just game.

Privacy and Audience Settings

Control who can watch your video under the Audience section:

Publishing Options

After filling in your details, choose how and when to publish your video.
Select Publish Now and click Save & Publish. Your video will go live on your channel as soon as processing finishes. You’ll receive an email notification and an in-dashboard alert when it’s ready.Processing time varies by video length and resolution:

Processing encodes your video into multiple quality levels (360p through 4K, depending on source resolution) for adaptive bitrate playback. Viewers see the highest quality their connection supports automatically.

Managing Your Video Library

After publishing, find and manage all your videos at hitorino.tv/library.

Edit Metadata

Click any video in your Library to update its title, description, thumbnail, tags, or privacy setting at any time. Changes apply instantly without re-processing.

Download Original

Download the original uploaded file from Library → Video → More Options → Download Original. Hitorino stores your source file for 90 days after upload.

Delete a Video

Delete a video permanently from More Options → Delete. Deletion removes all processed versions and the original. This action cannot be undone.

Analytics

View per-video analytics including total views, watch time, average view duration, and revenue from paid VOD — all from the video’s detail page in your Library.
Deleting a video removes it permanently from Hitorino’s servers, including any comments and watch history associated with it. There is no recycle bin or recovery option. Download your original file before deleting if you want to keep a copy.
