Whether you’re a first-time viewer curious about what Hitorino offers or a creator deciding whether to go live, these are the questions we hear most often. Browse the categories below to find the answer you’re looking for — each section covers a different aspect of the platform.

General Questions

Yes — watching streams on Hitorino is completely free. You can browse channels, watch live streams, and view VODs (past broadcasts) without paying anything or even creating an account.Creating a creator account and going live is also free. Hitorino does not charge a monthly fee to stream.Hitorino Premium is an optional paid subscription (billed monthly or annually) that removes ads for viewers, unlocks exclusive emotes and chat badges, and gives subscribers early access to new features. Premium is entirely optional — you can enjoy everything core to the platform without it.Creators can also offer their own paid channel subscriptions to their audience. These are set and managed by the creator, not by Hitorino.
Hitorino is built for solo creators — individuals streaming alone rather than as part of a team or organization. The platform is designed around that experience:
  • Solo-first discovery — Hitorino’s recommendation engine surfaces individual creators rather than large organizations or corporate channels.
  • Intimate community tools — chat features, subscriber tiers, and channel pages are optimized for one person building a close audience, not a media brand.
  • No team accounts — Hitorino accounts are personal. There are no multi-user dashboards or shared stream keys.
  • Low barrier to start — you can go live within minutes of creating an account, without review or approval.
If you’re an individual creator who wants to build a genuine, engaged audience around your content, Hitorino is built for you.
Hitorino allows a wide range of content: gaming, music, art, cooking, fitness, talk shows, coding, and general lifestyle streams are all welcome.Content that is not allowed includes:

If you experience playback issues on Safari specifically, try disabling Intelligent Tracking Prevention for hitorino.tv — go to Safari → Settings → Privacy and add an exception — as it can sometimes interfere with video session management. On iOS, watching via the Hitorino app generally provides a better experience than the mobile Safari browser because the app uses a native video player optimized for Apple’s hardware.

Streaming and Creator Questions

Hitorino supports any software that can output an RTMP stream, which includes virtually all popular streaming tools:
  • OBS Studio (free, recommended for most creators)
  • Streamlabs (free, OBS-based with additional overlays)
  • XSplit Broadcaster (paid)
  • vMix (paid, popular for multi-camera setups)
  • Restream (for simulcasting to multiple platforms simultaneously)
  • Ecamm Live (Mac, popular for interview-style streams)
Hardware encoders from AVerMedia, Elgato, and similar brands that support RTMP output also work.To connect your software to Hitorino, go to Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream Key and copy your unique stream key. In your streaming software, set the RTMP server to rtmp://live.hitorino.tv/live and paste your stream key.
Yes. Hitorino does not prohibit simulcasting. You can stream to Hitorino and other platforms simultaneously using a multistreaming service like Restream.io or Castr, or by using OBS Studio with a plugin like obs-multi-rtmp.Be aware that simulcasting increases your upload bandwidth requirements proportionally — streaming to two platforms requires roughly twice the upload speed.
Your stream key is a private credential that authenticates your streaming software with Hitorino. To find it:
  1. Log in to your Hitorino account.
  2. Go to Creator Dashboard (the camera icon in the top navigation).
  3. Click Settings → Stream Key.
  4. Click Show to reveal your key, then copy it.
Never share your stream key publicly. Anyone with your key can broadcast to your channel. If your key is compromised, click Reset Stream Key immediately — this invalidates the old key and generates a new one.
Hitorino offers several ways for creators to earn:
  • Channel Subscriptions — Viewers pay a monthly fee to subscribe to your channel. You set the price (within platform limits) and Hitorino takes a 30% platform fee; you keep 70%.
  • Bits (virtual tips) — Viewers purchase Bits through Hitorino and send them during your stream as a form of real-time tipping. You receive a cash equivalent for every Bit sent in your channel.
  • Ad Revenue — Once you reach Partner status, Hitorino places pre-roll and mid-roll ads on your streams and shares a portion of the revenue with you.
  • Creator Gifts — Viewers can send one-time gift purchases directly to your channel.
To receive payouts, go to Creator Dashboard → Monetization → Payout Settings and connect a PayPal account or bank account (bank transfers available in supported countries).
Low viewer counts are common when you’re just starting out and are usually not a technical problem. That said, a few settings can inadvertently suppress discoverability:
  1. Check your stream category — Make sure you’ve selected the correct game or category before going live. Streams without a category are excluded from browse pages.
  2. Set an attractive stream title — Your title appears in search results. A specific, descriptive title (e.g., “Chill Dark Souls run – no armor challenge”) outperforms generic titles.
  3. Confirm your channel is set to Public — Go to Creator Dashboard → Channel Settings and verify visibility is set to Public, not Unlisted.
  4. Enable VODs — Enabling past broadcast storage increases your discoverability through search even when you’re not live.
